The families served by Halifax Habitat for Humanity make a commitment to our program of home ownership. For families with children, drugs that means everyone in the family plays a part in the process. At your local Habitat, there are hundreds of family success stories that as a community we can all be proud to share.
In honor of the upcoming Mother’s Day celebration, we celebrate all mothers by recognizing one of our own Habitat mothers, Arlene Armstrong.
Arlene has always aimed to be a good role model for her children and advocates for “paying it forward,” especially helping someone else who lives in the community. She teaches her children to look for opportunities to serve and to help others.
Read more about Arlene and her family here.
More than building homes, we build communities, we build hope and we build the opportunity for families to help themselves.
This Mother’s Day, recognize a special mother in your life with a donation to Halifax Habitat for Humanity. Your donation will help families and individuals break the cycle of poverty and build long-term financial security. Your support can help us do more in all the many ways that Habitat builds.
